The best hardware for your $

All we see on here is people asking over and over of what do I need, how much do I want to spend etc...

So, I found a nice (constantly updated) list for all budgets of enthusiasts. It's maintained by Ryan Shrout and he's about as good as they get. Check out their podcasts if you're looking for something specific.

I like pcper. Best way to buy though is to find the deals. I got a 940BE for 100$.

 

Buying and research are not the same thing, unless you were implying something else that I missed entirely.

 

I don't know how you can not understand this....but....if I wanted to get a cheap processor and I found two that were 100$(one regular price and one on sale). I would buy the one that is faster. The one on sale was probably faster.

Pi is always relevant.

My comp does 1m digits in 26 seconds. Upgrading soon so should be closer to 20 seconds.

 

The point was simply that your comment had nothing to do with the article.

Everyone knows that you shop around when trying to buy your hardware that wasn't in question or even hinted at. I was putting up the list done by pcper telling you what the best hardware is in each pricing tier.

So yes, you were completely off topic.

Which would be like me saying, hey antec 550w PSU's are on sale today at Newegg! Which may be pertinent information but completely irrelevant towards this discussion.

 

ITT: Talking about the best hardware for your $ in a topic about "The best hardware for your $" is off-topic.
