I only picked up Risk of Rain ($2.50)and SteamWorld Dig ($2.50) Mostly cus I was broke as broke can be. Only got those two from selling the cards from the voting didn't really see any deals I would have missed out on even if I did have some money for it. Seemed to be a pretty unexciting sale to me And I'm quite happy with those two games I've had my eye on both of them for a while and they are pretty good especially for being under $3 each. Anybody else get anything?
I picked up Wolfenstien and the entire assassins creed collection, I think it should keep me busy for a long while.
$71.00 Games Expeditions: Conquistador Shadowrun Returns Saints Row IV Tomb Raider GOTY Edition Orion Dino Horde Wasteland 2 - Digital Deluxe Edition -7.30 Cards $63.00 I got a few this year. Spent probably to much but oh well. I've been itching for some good turn based strategy games. Though getting 3 was probably not a good idea. Dino horde is fun to dick around in and will probably be a good 20 hours of coop. Saints I enjoyed when it was free weekend and have a few friends who got it so that'll be another 20 hours. Tomb Raider was supposed to be good and I wanted something to play with my controller so I picked it up. If it weren't for wasteland 2 I would've only spent 13 bucks but its a good game.
Shadowrun Returns is quite fun. I recently beat Dead Man's Switch and picked up Dragonfall during the summer sale. Spent about $80 all in all, which is just over one PS3 game so I don't feel bad at all. Grabbed the Farcry Series, Red Alert 3, Assassin Creed 2x3/3, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Dirt 3, and a bunch of Co-op games like The Cave to play with friends and my girlfriend. Also Payday 2 which has been highly amusing so far.
Payday 2 is well worth any amount of money. Though it was a lot better when it first came out. I also picked up Divinity Original Sin and OMG. It's been a while since I've played a game this good. Second to Baulder's Gate. Though haven't tried co-op on it yet.
I went into the sale not wanting to buy anything. I have enough to work on already. I walked away with 3 games: -Divinity: Original Sin - Collectors edition (got 6 games total + DLC [2 of each game] so maybe not so bad.) -Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (I loved ninja gaiden on xbox and this is supposed to be similar.) -Kingdoms of Amalur + all DLC This is the most I have spent on so few games in a long time.
Played it on the PS3 when it came out. The game is fucking amazing and I honestly would recommend Vanquish if you have a PS3/360 as it is done by the same dev. and is equally masterful.
For those that picked up Civ5 full, let me, rookie and chaif know. We'd love to have a nice group to maybe run a people only match and not deal with the stupid AI. If we can get a 3v3 or so going that'd be amazing.
No, we don't. We usually break it up into pieces. Host has the save file and we just continue when we can get together next time. Games take a while, especially full games.
I already had a backlog of games that need playing & campaigns waiting to be completed when the Summer Sale started: - Thief 2014 - Hitman Absolution - Witcher 2 - Endless Space - Risk of Rain I walked away from the Summer Sale with: - Borderlands 2 + all DLC - Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - BioShock Inifnite + all DLC - Project Zomboid - Amnesia & Machine for Pigs and then I went on to also buy Star Citizen stuff... my bank account never saw it coming.
