http://stateofdecay.com/ Ok so I know this isn't going to be a mmo but I don't care...Jeff Strain BITCHES! For anyone who doesn't know Jeff Strain was one of the key names in early Blizzard games, he later on created State of Decay which was published by Microsoft as a single player survival horror game. As most of you know I'm a huge survival horror fan and I've played everything from Project Zomboid to War Z...State of Decay was AMAZING, the perma death system was incredibly unique and the combat was insanely visceral. The idea was that State of Decay 2 would end up being a MMO, clearly that ship sailed and now the plan is 4 player coop, which is fine. Sadly Microsoft has their greedy little hands in the title so it may or may not release on Steam but it really doesn't matter, you all need to buy this game in 2017 when it finally comes out. Now if you are interested and you can't afford it I *might* buy it for you. This is entirely based on whether I like you and how well you can cyb....err I mean how friendly you are...ya.... What separates SoD from every other copy and paste survival horror game is you control a community of survivors, not just one. You control them individually but you'll need to swap between characters when one is tired or injured. You can also bring you allies with you on adventures as bots while you control another so it really adds a level of depth those of us with no friends or generally hate everybody else can enjoy, Kyoji, lookin at you brah. The base building in the original SoD is simplified but meaningful so I expect no less from SoD2 as well and the perma death system is forgiving but it is still perma death. (if you die was a character that character is dead forever) The skill system is also incredibly useful but simple enough for anyone (wink DT wink) to understand. Seriously, I love this game, I played it like mad on my xbox then I played it some more when the steam version was released....and then I played it even more when they released YOSE edition. I've bought this game for a large handful of my friends even though it's single player. (they all have sexy voices) Those of you who really know me know I don't get hyped too easily and sure this could be a flop and yes it's niche and fucking more zombies gdi fucking zombies but seriously get hyped, look forward to buying this thing, fuck Microsoft in the butt though...seriously...
