Here is the twitch broadcast, though part of it got audio deleted. At somepoint this can be updated with a youtube upload: http://www.twitch.tv/starcitizen/v/10047942 edit: now with youtube reupload: About 1hr and 33min in is the multicrew demos Here is a one that was a little smoother for the gaming press: Some reveals include: Plans for social module to be playable by month's end. Plans for FPS module to be playable by the end of Sept. Saitek hardware.
The social module was nice but I could see being bored running around in a couple hours. Even if it's with friends. Still nice to see it as polished as it was. The FPS looks pretty much the same as the last time I saw a demo. I guess the animations are a bit better. But I wasn't overly impressed. Chris said "end of next month" So end of September for FPS module. What ever... I know it'll be an important part of the game but shit. I've sort of lost my interest in the FPS now. The multi-crewed demo was fucking awesome. Everything they showed looked amazing and is everything I expected from the PU. They mentioned that it'll be out around CitizenCon or shortly there after. They'll have the larger map available and possibly random encounters (ie. raiders, pirates and things to explore). Sort of a start to PU testing. The Star Citizen custom joystick looks pretty nice. Both the entry level and the high end. Pretty happy with what I saw.... only down side is more waiting.
Happy that they offered the Tali's base model with LTI for $150. The torp bays have 2yr insurance but the rest are LTI. Overall, I was impressed with the presentation. The future looks very promising in SC.
