I will start off saying that I have been waiting for this album for the last 14 months, ever since they reformed and announced they were working on new material. Back in the 90's I really liked Skunk Anansie, and for me Skin has one of the best female voices and is consistent both recording, live and accoustically. And have followed her solo career. Clip linked is the lead in single from the album, God Loves Only You I think the album is definitely a grower, my first impression/listen was it was a Skin album featuring the members of Skunk Anansie, but the more I listen to it the greater levels of depth behind the songs and their overall construction becomes apparent. A lot of people will just go "meh" over this, however this harks back and evokes good memories of what artists can do, rather than all this generic pop which is sifted out, also it is good that a band who dont really fit in to any mould or genre (though rock is close, albiet loosely) is out there. I know people who have seen them and they can be awesome or plain, again with this album, you will either like them or not. But if you do like them it is worth checking out their first album which is packed full of angst and fire, which are probably the 2 things this is lacking, but more than makes up for it with spit and polish.
