With MW2 set to upset a great number of us, I believe I will be turning to this game. It's a multiplayer shooter set in outer space. The concept is that you have a full range of free movement in zero gravity environments. Here's their website. Check out the trailer on the home page. From what I can tell the trailer is all gameplay footage.
Futuremark is known for their spectacular visual effects, since they used to make benchmarks (still do) like 3dmark and such. Sometimes I wish they made their graphics test demos into real games. I will be looking more into this, video looks promising. The physics looks promising and the gravity boots with thrusters and zero gravity make for some potential strategic gaming. Afaik some of us gamers would love to actually feel that our money spent on having more than one graphics card is going to be used on something other than benchmarks or crysis. Time to plug in the 2 power connectors and the sli bridge onto my 2nd 280gtx again.
From what I've read, it comes out next Wednesday. Interview with the game's lead designer. From the article above: -The game will be $20. -It will require DirectX10.
I've pre-ordered the game on steam with a few of my friends, so if you're looking for someone to play this with when its released ad fm_vian to your steam friends ^^
tsk tsk... The game is pretty taxing from what I've seen: It recommends: -Q6600 or better processor (minimum is an E6600) -ATI 4870/NVIDIA GTX 260 gfx card (minimum is ATI 3870/NVIDIA 8800 gt)
Great game, takes a bit to get used to and needs a little work in some areas, but overall fantastic game for the price.
