Hey. My updater just prompted me for this update about 3 hours ago. When i rebooted after the install my computer basically started to take a huge s**t. Everything slowed to a molasses-like state and I couldn't connect to the net. Things quickly came to an eventual freeze. I did a system restore and now everything's back to normal... I didn't know if it was something malicious or not posing as a SP upgrade so I checked the windows site and it was in fact available for download. Anyone who knows why this may have occurred? I may need to eventually upgrade in the future.

    SP3 doesn't do much.

Most likely it's something on your computer that's bothering it. Did you use Windows Update to get it? Or did you download the 700 meg standalone?

Mine failed halfway through and the same thing happened so you might not have gotten the full download

  5. so far the only thing i know of in it is a web hosting service (as in windows service) that lets you host a website from your computer. type in http://localhost/ and it shows up.
