I have a friend who got the beta from fileplanet. runs on the unreal 3 engine. looks great, feels great. kinda like planetside with out tons of vehicles. focused on specializing your loadouts so you play how you want. you earn points and can call in equipment or vehicles (so far a tank and a heavy walker suit).
Played it yesterday. Seems a bit weird. Though without a tutorial its hard to see what to do and even the control list doesn't seem complete. Overall the game seems like it has some great ideas, Planetside I don't think so. It's more like Unreal Tournament Base taking. Actually its exactly the same with some tweaks. I don't think there's a overall campaign. Just another FPS.
yea very much UT, with some extra stuff like custom loadouts and being able to purchase turrets, tanks, walkers....i kinda enjoyed it, will prolly keep an eye on it
I won a free copy at the Alienware booth at PAX. Ive been having a lot of fun with it, being able to drop into the areas makes for a lot of fun and the diffrent kits you can come up with using the perks kinda thing they have was awesome. Made a kit designed to drop through anti air fire a kit with so much armor can take a tank to the face etc etc. Has been a lot of fun
I downloaded it for free. I liked the look of the game and the suits. Only played the campaign, it was short as hell.
I played the demo recently and liked it. It was reminiscent of Planetside to me, arena-style. More so than the failure known as Global Agenda at least. I loved being able to drop in and spawn anywhere on the map. I've had to deal with bullshit spawns for years, but this is a great solution to that problem. Still thinking about playing it for real.
I liked the game had a set up where i could drop in even under AA fire. I like how much you can tweak.
I didn't think it was that fun. It was cool for a bit but the lock on system angered me and some places on certain maps were unassailable because of glitches. Fun for a week but not much longer IMO.
