How will you assist the other officers in the guild?: I would back up the other officers in helping maintain their responsibilities while they are out. I will understand the role for each officer so I can assist with any questions or direction that might need to be given to any of the members during officers time of absence. I will support ideas officers come up with or bring alternative solutions with constructive advice instead of creating a hostile environment by simply disagreeing. What will you do to enhance the guild?: I will attend all meetings and spend every bit of time I have available in pushing our members towards reaching the guilds goals. I will even take part in recruiting and interviewing to help build our player base as much as I hate recruiting haha. I will provide a solid foundation as an officer that can think objectively with the bigger picture in mind. What are your past leadership roles?: Within Xen I helped launch the Albion division. I stepped down as I just don't have the time to commit to being the head honcho to a division and with being on call 24/7 there are times where I would just not be able to make it to some events. However as an officer I still feel like I have more than enough play time to meet officer expectations and be available for what needs to be done. What would you like to add to your application to make it more competitive?: Particularly looking at the High Shadow of the Order of the Raven role. I can be available to help in kingdom battles but there won't be as much emphasis if I'm stuck at work. The Raven role I imagine is more of a sporadic or "at the right opportunity" role where it will take some planning and time to ensure that what we are needing to accomplish gets done with precision and the least amount of repercussions/risks involved. Being able to organize that group I think fits perfectly into the amount of game play and time that I can offer as well as the types skillset I have. I acknowledge that my weakness is being able to setup logistics for a large scale operation however I've been very very good at planning and executing small to medium size objectives. I feel like each target or each order that the Raven's get involved in will be a new plan, a new operation with all new variables and hurdles that will need to be overcome. Have a schedule that isn't quite as strict, will fit nicely with what I can 100% commit to. Reaching overall level requirements, gear requirements to be able to accomplish our missions is something I can manage without having to follow the more strict guidelines of some of the other groups I work as a Service Line Owner/IT Site manager for a large company called Xerox. My role is to continually take on small to medium projects to improve the sites that fall under neath me (4 sites, 1500 people supported by my team of myself and 8 other IT personnel). We continually have to make things work with budget restrictions, equipment restrictions, skillset restrictions etc we handle extremely important tasks at a very high rate of efficiency that supports the overall group of people who are out on the "front lines" so to speak making the money and providing the public services. I can't help but compare the two roles and see lots of similarities in realizing that the order of the Raven is a job that will be extremely important however might not get as much notice or directly affect the group every time.
Wow thanks for the app. We'll need to interview you for the role of Officer. Ani is normally available around 7 p.m. PDT everyday except on the weekends which he is off. Let's schedule a time you can interview.
