Rock Band 3 using semi-real guitars

    While I'm no Rock Band junkie, I thought this was cool. There's no way you'd wanna use one of these things as a real guitar though. I also think this would take some fun out of the game for those who can't play guitar. The reason why the game is popular is because you can play your favourite songs without having to touch a real guitar.

    Yup, looks awesome! 102 buttons to play with, gonna be manic. They are also doing other stuff that lets you plug in your own midi keyboard etc.

    haha yeah will be sweet to be able to practice a bit this way heh

    theres was a similar type thing, not much a game as rock band though, but the guitars where kind pricey they where called fretlights, and basically its a normal electric with a lighting fret so you know what ones you have to hit... never did look into it much more than that though
