Ram prices predicted to drop more.

    damn. Just bought another 16GB too. Oh well, it was still a good price. I think this is really bad news. At this rate we will see a lot of companies closing up shop and getting out of RAM. There is just no profit in it anymore. The options available for performance RAM will probably be drying up even more :/

    cool, too bad I dont need more ram, the cpu cooler on my computer prevents me from using all my ram slots.

    Fuck, RAM was so expensive when I built my last rig.

    Glad prices are dropping but it makes me sick a little to remember how much I paid for my kit.

    It's only stifling in the short run. The major production companies can just tighten their belts and reinvent the wheel right after a nice 24% chunk of their weaker competitors' funding dries up.

    If anyone is buying new sticks, the slowest speed you should get is 1600, preferably 1866. You can pick up the lower grade 1866 sticks for like $70-80 for 8GB
