I'm a cheap bastard and not up to buying a new mouse just yet :) Son has 3 PS3 controllers, so my thought is to go the el cheapo route and use it on my pc.

Found this guide for hooking up the controller to Win7-64bit.

has anyone done this? have any thoughts, comments, feedback etc?

no worries, to each there own :) as stated, I'm a cheap bastard... so, going the FREE route appeals to me..

Been wanting to by a new mouse, head set and vid card for aseveral months now.. just cant justify spending that ~200 for all that cruft.

Sorry Trice, there is no aim assist in the PC version, even if you use your sons remote.

I'll give it a shot. I tried some drivers awhile ago, but they never worked in 64 bit.

I used a 360 controller for the first two weeks playing Black Ops. It was harder to use but I still owned with it, mostly because other players were just bad, and I was adept at using a controller from my Halo 3 days.

Ehhh. Ive done it in the past but god the precision for aiming is no where near a mouse. Ill take a look through my files to see if I still have the drivers I used last as so many failed to work good.

I have done this... there is actually a video of me playing a PS2 game with it on my youtube channel.

Is the software they are linking you to. Apparently the drivers are signed now as well which makes it a hell of a lot easier now.

Last time I tried it was buggy. It's like a basic controller with none of the special functions.
