Most of the work is 1 year + old. I'm doing my weekly speed challanges but forget to upload those allot. Anyway here's my portfolio work:Digipyro.nl C&C is welcome.
That's awesome work!! I don't know if you are into creating mods for games but if so I have a great idea which may include getting paid *gasp*.
soonds VERY good hehehe, doing a Game-Design course ATM, and would love to get as much experience as possible.
Awesome stuff. Im learning Maya right now. I hope to have a portfolio of my own goin soon. Keep it up!
Cool mate, make sure to post or PM me the portfolio website . Tried Maya myselve aswell but couldnt get used to the difference. Went back to max later on .
Ya at school here they use maya so I went with that. A bunch of my friends are used to max and are having a hard time adjusting.
hehehe yeh, the interfaces are pretty hard to catch. it's nice to show off with though ( tip put the UI on black (a) )
nice, i like the website and you have some good designs on there. i like the "weapons of choice" currently tryna build a portfolio but its on yola at the moment (gota wait for the money)
just one on all my work and about me and some other useful stuff, still in work atm tho and is more for practice until i get a full website, taken note from yours tho very nicely layed out.
Coll stuff man. I do some 3D too, using Maya though I'd like to try 3DSTudio Max as well. Blender is supposed to be a good app too, and its opensource so FREE WOOT! What are your goals with this - hobby or make a career out of it? Only thing I'd say (and this IS NOT a bash, just constructive criticism - something I learned a lot from once I learned how helpful it was and not to take it personally) is show some more detail. What you have is good, but some things, like the mech, could use a bit more as far as details. Much of this can be done via textures. Stuff like bolts or scratches. As for the actual model, really flat is good if the actual model is just that, such as a sports car, but for other things like a churce, adding in statues or decorations on the walls, etc. Look around and research bigtime via actual sites if you live close to the object you are modeling, or on googleimages, istockfoto.com (cheap photos, but good quality FTW) and find styles you like. Even the greatest artists and designers use references. Chat me up anytime in game about 3D. I love it and hope to attend Tx A&M for masters in it starting in 2012.
OFC if you have questions ask them here, in PM or add me to MSN no prob. Cant really help with Maya questions though but i'm sure one of the people who replied here will be kind enough to help . Also, main reason for not adding allot of detail was i didnt had th oportunity to combine Zbrush with max. i got this to work just a couple of days ago. Not every model needs high detail as it's an art to leave things out aswell. but i do see what you mean with dust and scratches. i tried to apply some dust but it didnt work out (still trying to figure out a nice way of adding this on my textures) and the main reason for not going on with the church was the biggest mistake i'd ever made. i messed up the wireframe and made the biggest part into 1 object ( with some small duplicates) my system got really slow since it's made in 3ds max 8 and gave me too much problems texturing them. so i gave up on it. still happy with the result but i defenatelly know what you mean mate . cant chat up to you unfortunatelly cause i'm in aion EU but if you have msn give me a pm and i'll give you my adress.(or contact me on vent ) ** edit** small tip. dont use blender when your able to use maya. it's a big downgrade and doesnt have the power maya/max has ( henche the freeware part of it.) wouldnt recommand it.
Some of my 3D stuff http://picasaweb.google.com/gpmail1/GaryS3DDwarf# http://picasaweb.google.com/gpmail1/GaryS3DAnt# http://picasaweb.google.com/gpmail1/3DGuitar# http://picasaweb.google.com/gpmail1/3DRobots#
Nice work mate, especially the dwarf . I'm not a pro making faces yet. managed to make 3 faces yet but none without a bit of help yet . t wasnt really worth posting tho. but it's upcomming since character design is part of the course .
Your thumbnails in individual projects are currently full-size images scaled by the browser, so they're loading a little slowly. I'd recommend making new images that don't have to scale, like on the gallery page. Commie: As far as I've seen, Maya runs off the default Windows colour. Managed to alter it at work through just changing display settings. The background colour for the working windows can be set under Window | Settings/Preferences | Color Settings. Check 3D Views, and play with the other colours as you wish. Yeah, so you posted that two months ago. :]
Unfortunatelly i,m going to have to remake my portfolio website. My external hardisc doesnt allow me to copy or open the files anymore =<. So if i have time ( somewhere at christmas) there will be a new/fresh and improved website ( hope i can get someone to php for me tho X_X )
