I have to agree, more naturalized movement is a better way to do it, also starting from the shoulders instead of the arms is better. Try crawling backwards on your back using just your shoulders, once you hit a wall theninch yourself up the wall by pressing with your feet and inching up with just your shoulders, then back down and the other way with your shoulders. Relaxation and breath control while you do this of course-- smooth as ice.
