Anyone know how to port forward on a Sprint Evo 4g if I am using it as a tethered hotspot?

I dont think there are options for that type of stuff :/

his soundcast server.. I think, right?

and Cox, it's not possible unless you root your phone I think.
In that case, have the soundcast set up on a different computer, and have the field operator use a voice client like vent, Skype, etc..and have winamp set up to capture from in-line/speakers.

Even rooting the phone doesnt give you extra options like that, I have never seen them and I am always rooted. Rotting just gives you access to the root of the phone (system access). You still need an app or someone to mod in the ability to get more options from something. You most definitely cant do it with the built in wifi hotspot stuff, your best bet is Wifi Tether (an app). It works much better and is easier, also has more options. You can select your LAN IP stuff, encryption, SSID, and wifi channel. But I still have never seen an option to open or close a port.

...yeah, I know that, but you still need to root the phone to use an app for that. :p. Del got it, looks like.

There is no reason why this can't be done on a rooted phone. At that point it is just a matter of linux magic or maybe there is an app already out there for this. Looks like there is an app named "port forwarder" that might work. It is kind of limited in that you can only have one destination IP in the LAN but you can do multiple ports to that same destination.
