For those who don't know me, most I'm guessing, I got my start with XoO during the RFO beta and was last involved with PoTBS. I check back periodically to see what new games are on the XoO radar when I'm looking for something new. Not sure if I came back briefly during WAR or DFO, but either way I didn't stay long in either. I recently started Perpetuum Online and figured I'd check back here to see if XoO was involved. After a few forum searches I was surprised that nothing came up at all. It's a PvP sandbox with Mechs and might appeal to the Planetside folk. It's been compared to EVE a lot. Same genre, real time skill point accumulation, and in depth crafting and skill trees. However, I never got into EVE and think the faster pace of combat, WASD control, terrain tactics and LOS separate it from the comparisons. Very smooth polished release but short on content. I started a thread at MMORPG. Server Pop was low and falling though seems to have leveled off. Pretty much the first MMO thats hooked me in many years and I'd like to boost interest, I think it has sleeper hit potential... It's not like me to fanboi. I have two trial keys at the moment, Devs have offered more on an as needed basis. If your interested PM me. P.S. - If your in there already hit me up Ember from IRS
I had played this game with a buncha my buddies from eve ... we was in a high end corp in a good alliance with our own beta island ... day after day we noticed less and less people to kill ... our interest quickly dropped Good idea ... too bad its not backed by a bigger company of some sorts
It's true pop is low High end corps in a good alliances often lack targets. However, there are more targets for the underdogs, bit of XoO Zen I picked up in RFO. A small raiding party on Dom or Hokk can pick off a few targets of opportunity before pulling down a 15 man blob from CIR or M2S at most times during the day. You could own an outpost or even an island but TBH, targets will avoid you when your in a power position.
