Feel free to vote for what game we should get into next! Black Desert Black Desert takes place in a high fantasy setting and revolves around the conflict between two rival nations, the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia Black Desert in development by Pearl Abyss is a sandbox MMORPG that features castle sieging, trading, crafting, player housing, parkour, and more. FEATURES: Seamless Movement | You won't have to deal with pesky loading times other than loading instances. Unique Weather and Climate | The weather and climate will have an affect on zones that players can adapt to. Parkour | Players will be able to run up walls, jump over balconies, and more with the parkour elements. Player housing | will be instanced and will vary from tents through to more substantial houses and buildings. Players will be able to furnish and equip their housing and may hire NPCs to set up as traders from the building Active Combat System | requiring precise manual aiming, dodging & comboing, unlike the tab-targeting system seen in older MMORPGs. Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade is a F2P MMORPG that takes place in the Warhammer universe where you can delve into 40 years worth of lore and combat in this new and upcoming action third person shooter style MMORPG. Warhammer 40K in development by bEHAVIOR. Orks are the only f2p race as of now, and the devs are hoping this will make them outnumber the rest of the other factions, as each Ork is independently weaker. So, that is a higher than average understanding of 40k lore, and is typically considered a genius fucking idea. FEATURES: Warhammer Lore | Play with 4 different playable factions including the Orks, Space Marines, Chaos, and Eldar with an additional Tyranid faction not playable. The developers have also stated they are working to add in Dark Eldar, Tau, Adepta Sororitas, and the Necrons. PvP Oriented | with splashes of PvE. Skill-based combat | Players will be able to shoot, melee, jumpjet around the map where your aim and tactical prowess will factor who is the victor. Vehicles | Drive around in the Rhino and other vehicles ala Planetside 2 as you unleash the terror of your devices. Procedurally Generated content | After planets are conquered a new one is made. All dungeons/PVE content is procedurally generated. Player Spaceship Housing | Players will all get their own space ship which acts as player housing, that you can decorate as you like. Guilds can combine their ships together for larger housing and more options (like guild banking) Dynamic Weather | will affect combat and how you loadout your character. No Pay to Win | The developers are vehement about the game not being pay to win. Camelot Unchained Camelot Unchained takes a different approach and brings games back the the old school and promises to bring back all the fun and excitement had with DAoC. FEATURES: Complex statistic-based systems | require players to make choices. In our game, players can “gimp” their character, either accidentally or on purpose Spell Interaction | Each spell cast can interact with everything in the world, and change based on that interaction. Enemy mages can weaken an Ice Wall by throwing fire-based spells or other runes that oppose Ice. An Ice Wall can be transformed by fire spells, which might result in it becoming Steam. That Steam can then be blown by Wind mages to harm other players. Spell Creation | Players will be able to cast spells through a book or create their own spells mid-combat. Spell casting is no longer a boring click and shoot bur requires thought and mastery. Creating new spells and inscribing them into a spellbook is dangerous, and may fail catastrophically. Runes form the “core” spell, but players also have a wide range of other components that they can add to the spell, in order to customize their magic even further Melee Creation |All abilities are created by the player, in the same way that magical spells are created by the player. Customize your attacks to AoE, targeted AoE, single target, etc as well as combining attacks in patterns. Armor Intrique |Unlike the way of most games, armor only protects the part of the body that it covers. Your helm doesn’t help you when you are struck on the leg! A shoulder wound could reduce how fast you can swing a sword, but it won’t stop you from running away Complex Crafting | They have both popcorn crafting (for those like myself who hate to craft) and hardcore crafting for those who want to primarily be crafters. The crafting is so confusing I will just link it. RvRvR | Much like DAoC there are three main factions bidding for power. The map will contain 3 safe zones which will be the respective main cities and a few outlying areas. Everything else is fair game. So game on ladies! In the center of all of this is the Main city of Camelot which can be fought over. The game progresses on a capture system much like Warhammer. Stat Progression | Levels and exp are for pussies. At least that is how Camelot sees it. The game progresses based on stats and abilities much like Darkfall whereby using an ability will increase your proficiency with no hard limits, but with soft caps to keep things competitive. Everquest Next Everquest Next will be another blockbuster hit to be released after the success of the original Everquest with a multitude of unique and awe-inspiring MMORPG inventions they plan to bring to the genre. FEATURES: Destructible Terrain & Layered Terrain | You can destory or dig your way to find levels upon levels of terrain and hidden dungeons that change all the time. Unique Facial Expressions | With the graphics and art style detail of the faces can show a very broad array of expressions. Player Housing | Build and customize your house any way you want. Just do not let it get destroyed by a giant monster! Unique Public Quest Style System | EQN will allow you to literally shape the continent by interacting with NPCs which could have a different effect every time. Take months to work with others to build or destroy cities and forever shape the terrain and game of EQN! Parkour Style movement | Rather than getting stuck by small rocks and terrain you can leap over it automatically, slide down mountain sides, and vault over walls. GW2 style combat | with various skills, some of which depend on your weapon. Limited skill list. Non-linear questing | Monsters gravitate and move based on player interaction. No experience is the same. No levels | You can team up with your friends regardless of time played. Everquest Landmark | Players will be able to create a character, go out into the world, explore the landscape, discover materials and crafting recipes, stake a claim and then start building. Non conventional class system | Start with one of 8 classes and customize your character with weapon choices to make a total of 40 various class options.
Two more new games we plan to support will be: Toxikk FRAG LIKE IT'S 1999: TOXIKK plays as if today's military shooters never existed. The game combines the simple and intuitive mechanics of old-school FPS giants with a fresh setting, slick graphics and our vision to carefully evolve the genre with some new ideas elaborated with Arena-FPS enthusiasts. Designed as a spiritual successor to the fast paced arena shooters of the late 90s and early 2ks, there is no leveling, no skill-trees, no perks, no cover systems, no classes, no configurable weapons and no iron sight aiming. Instead you get fast and precise movement (with deeply configurable mouse controls), double jumps, dodge jumps, booster pick-ups, nine iconic WEAPONS to be carried around simultaneously, secondary fire modes for every weapon, vehicular game modes, jump pads, health-packs, lots of vertical gameplay, optional mutators (incl. instagib) and everything else that made these kind of games so addictive. And if you want to practice your skills offline, TOXIKK also features a configurable BOT MODE. After each death, you respawn with a melee weapon and a basic pistol. All other weapons are to be picked up while you play. Character customization is of cosmetic nature only. However, unlike the shooter giants from the past, TOXIKK features an XP and a bounty system. The XP system and its associated ranks are used for reputation purposes, for our match-making algorithms and to unlock new skins, but they do NOT change the stats or the abilities of your character. Your rank will show other players how experienced and skilled YOU are (rather than showing the experience level of your game character). We believe that "classic Arena-FPS" and "Free-to-Play" (F2P) don't go well together. A true arena FPS requires all player characters to have equal stats and the availability of all weapons to everyone. Always! The skill of a player should be the only deciding factor about victory or defeat. Allowing players to buy different (i.e. better) weapons or to permanently boost their stats does totally contradict the idea of classic arena FPS gaming in our opinion. CLASSIC MAPS offer very fast-paced gameplay in small to medium-sized maps for up to 8 players, while MASSIVE MAPS feature more strategic gameplay in bigger environments for up to 16 players. Vehicles (gliders, attack-bombers, hoverbikes and other ground vehicles) are exclusively available in Massive Maps. All registered players can apply for a FREE SDK to build own maps, characters and skins etc. for TOXIKK. We will put up a web page as a central hub for user generated content on TOXIKK.com. Players may vote user-generated content to be made available through this hub. All content on this hub will be offered free of charge. The whole process will be handled through our forums. We believe that shooters are meant to be played with mouse and keyboard. That's why TOXIKK is exclusively designed for PC. At this point, we do not intend to port the game to any other platform. REAKKTOR may be a self-financed indie studio, but every team member brings at least a decade of experience in professional game development to the table and is dedicated to delivering a high quality experience. Breaking free from publisher concerns and features requested by the marketing guys, we decided to create this game for one single reason: WE WANT TO PLAY IT! H1Z1: Early Access Coming January 15, 2015 Summary Gameplay emphasizes multi-player cooperation, trading, and team-building. In an interview with Adam Clegg from SOE it was made clear that unlike other zombie MMO games, the main focus will be on surviving against the zombies through team-work with other players, instead of being a player versus player "PVP" environment with a zombie backdrop. Features List: -Player Servers -Player Built Houses + Bases + Safes (base building) -In-Game Vehicles -Lots of Weapons -Lots of items you can craft -Many Survival tools -Farming and Living off the land -Animals and Pets -Supply Drops -Great anti cheater/hacker support from Sony -Play as a zombie -Dynamic Environments -Will be Free to play -Intelligent Zombies
Black Desert looks like the most fun from that list (dat horse taming, cow milking, and farming from your tent) but it looks like another Tera and we all know how that turned out. I looked at the videos of Everquest Next and it seems too cartoony for me, I wouldnt be happy playing a game that looks so much like a cartoon.
I'd join. As for gaming; Black Desert; We might be waiting awhile considering it hasn't released in Korea. It took us almost 2-3 years to get Archeage and it was still abit of a shit show publisher wise. Unless they have well documented International server plans I wouldn't plan to be it our game unless we are planning to play russian/foreign servers. Warhammer 40K as far as I can tell is in early alpha with the livestream footage released on Dec 19. The idea is interesting but I don't know if this game is going to be anywhere as polished as PS2 (which wasn't that polished). Also I rather punch a knife through my head then play vanilla SMs so CSM/Eldar would likely the best bet. Camelot Unchained; I am inherently biased as a backer since I'll be playing it anyways but I love RvR. I love old school game mechanics and the feeling of massive RPG warfare. We still don't know tons about the game but we have a bunch of members with beta access already so I think that is a great starting point. It isn't promising to change the world but a solid return to old mechanics. I like that. My vote. Everquest Next; Maybe. Maybe not. I love me some Everquest but this game is going to be more of an interesting hybrid of new game design. We have seen some previews overall which look great but it will be interesting if they can make the whole game great for casual and hardcore players. If it is just fantasy minecraft; I am not really interested in that. If it is a full blown decent MMO then I am down. Camelot Unchained > EQ Next > BD > Warhammer 40k
Blood for the Blood God! ... what i mean to say is... I predict EQ Next to be a flop, Black Desert will come out after the other 3 games have died off. Now between the other 2? Im an old DAOC player and a Warhammer nut so... im torn >.<
I said this if I ever quit Archeage.. yet here I am hanging out for H1Z1 (Rust MMO with vehicles, whats not to like) and probably looking at BD and CU. BD is not getting a NA/EU publisher, because apparently they couldn't find one they liked.. so it should be updated close to in sync with the KR version hopefully. CU has a lot of very nice sounding features, which makes me think it will take some time to get out to everyone
Yeah I'm thinking chances are good we might have a lot of shiny new domes all of a sudden. I have zero faith in game developers anymore and will believe it when I see it.
