When you think about it, it makes sense, since flames are actually plasma, and plasma is conducive to electricity. As from being know for 200 years, well ... The greek new about steam engines 2,000 years ago. Irak had electric batteries 2,000 years ago. The Romans used concrete extensively. There is alot to learn from and be in awe for in technologies/discoveries from the past.
