Well, I need a new headset because the left speaker is screwed up and doesn't work half of the time. One thing that has been big with my choice of headsets in the past is usability. I play PC, PS3, and 360 and I would like to be able to use the same headset between them. Past Headsets: AX180 PX21 However since I bought my last headset that has pretty much become an irrelevant feature... I never really wanted the headset that I bought, I got it because it worked on all platforms. I could always save to get a mixamp but they are really expensive. :\ Anyway the headset that I most like is the SteelSeries Siberia v2 Full-size Headset. Has anyone used it? How are they, I really like the slide in mic feature it'll let me use it as headphones without looking like an idiot.
I just went through this same thing Arimil. I landed on a Roccat Kave TRUE surround sound headset that I think I will be very pleased with. http://www.roccat.org/Products/Gaming-Sound/ROCCAT-Kave/ I own the Steel series one and I am not that impressed with it. Sound is just okay and in games its really hard to tell where the sounds are coming from. I looked at the Kave and the Triton AX pro and finally took the shot on the Roccat I will tell you what I think of it as soon as it gets here. But from all the other research i have done it is pretty epic headset and is really good for gaming. Its kinda the Razer store of hte UK. YES I said UK this headset has to come from the uk but they have a really good shipping method I will have mine on weds. I orded it on Saturday. I'll hit ya up on TS later.
That's actually really awesome, but if I were to buy that I do not believe I would get surround sound on either the PS3 or the 360. Also, it requires USB power. Which is fine and all but the V2 can double as headphones as well. So, sadly I'm going to pass and once again take usability over the best headset I guess. :\
