Ok, Jay needs some new musical suggestions. The last few albums I picked up were "Beale St." by Clutch, 2 albums by The Editors, 2 albums by Arctic Monkeys, "Tipping Point" by The Roots and "Neptune" by The Duke Spirit. I'm waiting for the new Franz Ferdinand album, Detox by Dr. Dre, Only Built for Cuban Linx 2 by Raekwon (can't wait for this to drop) and the new Medeski, Martin, and Wood album. Based off the bands here can ANYBODY PLEASE give me some suggestions of bands I may not have heard of that I should definately check out. I'm not into the Electronic scene or the hard metal scene much anymore so try and steer away from those if possible. Thanks to everyone who helps in advance.
But maybe it's too "soft" for you. It's an acoustic 'best of' album. No new tracks except Unchained (Tales Of The Unexpected). I find it exceptional beautiful, with personal highlits Are you there? and Temporary peace, because those songs are very personal for me. http://www.anathema.ws/
I'm listening to some of their stuff on Myspace and it's pretty chill and relaxing. Kinda diggin it. Thanks for the suggestions. They remind me a bit of Massive Attack. Just an update, picked up the new Hold Steady, 4 disk "heart and soul" set of Joy Division, and the original Tool demo. Please keep the suggestions coming in.
