  2. Myspace is a lot more customizable, which can be either good or bad depending who you ask. You can get cool site designs, but you can also get some really annoying garbage backgrounds and music.

    Facebook isn't as customizable, but has a much more consistent UI. Facebook apps is Facebook's attempt to appeal to the Myspace crowd. Once again, many people hate this, because the apps mess up the consistent UI, but others like it. The New Facebook was an attempt to add tabs to separate the random applications from the standard stuff, but a lot of people are complaining and/or just moving their random applications back into the main tab.

    Out of the people I know personally, most people have only a Facebook account. The people who have accounts at both places created the Myspace account before Facebook became popular, and then never bothered to delete it.

    facebook poker! is better, BUT Myspace all the way.

  7. Myspace is great if you like ass-ugly design and random flashing noisy shit everywhere and no idea where to go or what to click on all the time, combined with 96.443 percent of the page covered in ugly flashing and sometimes noisy advertisements.

    Facebook is great if you want to keep connected to your friends.

    Facebook is more adapt to just keeping contact with the friends you want to keep in contact with, and have discussions with people through the different groups. Myspace is just a way for people to feel unique about their web page because they can't make their own website to express themselves.

    I like MySpace for music mostly, keeps me connected with bands, helps me promote my music stuff, and plus, I've had a MySpace for 4 years now, I know too many people on there, and I really don't feel like making a full switch to Facebook because I barely even look at it.

  11. Myspace for bands, Facebook for friends.

    My Space has a more attracktive approach on users. The Sound, Background and other stuff you can add on it is basically more fun and interesting if you ask me. Facebook is more on connection wise, and My Space is a mix of Creativity and a Hobby( Sometimes )

  13. That's one of the biggest hazards...
    People do not know how to create eye-pleasing things, whereas facebook is simple, clean and decent on all eyes.

    MySpace just looks like a piece of trash no matter how it's modified, and reminds me of a fad amongst 15 year old girly girls, or emo boys.

  14. here is my very simple analogy:

    Myspace=emo
    Facebook=scene and/or social

    The "Are you Interested?" application says differently.

  18. QFT. This is the #1 reason why I (and many people) refuse to join Myspace. Obnoxious backgrounds and music, and no way to turn it off just so you can see a persons personal info and leave them a message.

    My Bad, My Space is for young people around my ages that cant find anything to do( even though I don't like it either (",), While Facebook on the other hand is for all ages and a simpler design that everyone can appreciate!

    There is an app on facebook called "are you interested" and "hot or not" in which they just throw your profile picture around a bit and you can contact the people you think look good and the people who think you look good can contact you. Facebook to my face?
