So I took a look at my browser in task manager and see it is using 2.5GB of RAM and 17% of my processing power!!!!:eek::eek: It takes like a full 3/4 of a second to load a picture when changing tabs that has already downloaded. so retarded!

    Can anyone tell me why?

Oh and those small rectangles (and some of them with blue circles) are tabs

In case you couldnt tell, the above post is sarcasm. I simply had to post this as I couldnt believe what I had done while browsing for wallpaper. I found 1, and then that led to 3, which each led to a few more, and so on and so forth. Im still going...

EDIT: Well when I hit 3GB of RAM usage and 25% cpu usage (1 full core at max) Opera completely crapped out on me and everything is taking a long time, pictures sometimes dont load anymore when changing tabs and if they do it takes like 10 seconds, text when typing cant keep up with the speed I am typing.

    EDIT again:
How odd, Opera went into some kind of optimized compression mode. Everything froze for like 30 seconds and I was waiting for a WIndows error message when suddenly the browser started working at full speed again, no CPU usage, and only half the RAM usage. Everything is loaded now and changes quick and nothing looks compressed or anything. It must be a light compression. I am assuming this is the Opera Turbo feature that even though is set to off was forced on due to such massive CPU and RAM usage.

I would honestly like to see if any of the other browsers that you all use can handle this many tabs open, with this many high resolution pictures, and where your browsers crap out at. Mine was bad for a few minutes but seems to be up and going at high speed again with even more and more tabs being opened. I would like to see what other browsers can handle this

    EDIT again again:
This is now my record before Opera completely crashes. I didn't get to save all the wallpapers that I had opened, and I had other tabs open as well to other pages, but my folder I downloaded these into says I downloaded 294 wallpapers. So I would estimate around 310 tabs open at once. It doesn't look like nearly that many tabs even for how small the tabs are, so maybe there is a second row or something.

That is absolutely insane. I took this post seriously at first until I saw the first picture, then just kind of wondered if you really surf the web that way, in which - if you do - I feel sorry for you.

Rather amazing how many tabs you can open up, in spite of the above post.
