So we all know that if you do something enough you begin to associate it with an activity that takes place at the same time. I used to listen to music a lot when I played video games 5-10 years ago, back in my xbox live days. Anywho, I listened to a few songs that reminded me of some games I played. Trapt - Headstrong : I used to listen to this band and this song more specifically all the time when playing Unreal Championship. Was good killing music for those instagib matches That's probably the biggest one. Other than that when I used to play GW a lot I would listen to the first Avenged Sevenfold CD while doing Fissure of Woe runs Good times Anything come to mind for you guys?
I never listen to music when I am playing a game because its 99% of the time PvP so I need good coms going so music just distracts me.
I only listen to music when I'm grinding in a given MMO, or just dicking around in FPS games. For single-player campaign type games I prefer to hear the game's original music.
Boss fights in WOW (tbc) i used to always heal listening to Tool 10000 days, as it just put my mind in the right place subconciously. I deliberately use it. I have had lamb of god cranked up full volume at 5 in the morning when i needed to do some proper hardcore grinding.
the first Mario brothers...I hear that..I instantly have old memories pop up..but not of the game..but of the people I was with at the time... ... now they have kids of their own..playing mario... (sheds a tear for times that slipped away)
I tend to remember Streetlight Manifesto and playing Westfall in World of Warcraft on my night elf huntard. The pinnacle of noobitry.
