    I blame Al Gore. He had the CIA blow up the island so that he could blame global warming.

    That's my conspiracy theory and I'm sticking to it.

    The sad state of affairs in the world caused the island to recede back underwater.

    Sea levels have not risen any where close enough to put an island 40 to 50 meters under water.

    i would cite erosion... if its low lying, hurricanes and tides could strip it down each year, losing it's base then perhaps one of the numerous small quakes in the gulf sunk it the rest of the way? definitely not enough rise in the water level to sink it without erosion, though perhaps the CIA eroded it?

    Im more than sure that we fucking sold the island to the USA and u just decided to sink it, erase every shred of evidence.
