    So i recently bought the g.dragon jaw or whatever you say =P 12gb (3x4) and added on to my previous 3x2gb corsair dominators both with 1600.

    PC only registers 12gb :| What i do

    CPUZ = http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2020188
    System INFO - says 12gb
    AMD System Monitor - 12279
    Battle.net Beta Opt In - System Memory:

    If you haven't all ready pull the 3x2 too make sure the 3x4 are working properly after that put them back in with the 3x4 and see if it picks them all up if it doesn't you may have to fiddle with your bios or something Enigma or somebody will be around eventually to help with that if it's needed. Also make sure your MB supports more then 12g as well.

    You can also try switching the sets around.

    No can do on that part because 3 of the similar ram are half the size of my corsair dominators. Even if i do switch it, it wouldn't fit under the cpu fan.

    What system info detects 12GB? Windows or BIOS?

    It *could* be something to do with how the triple channel memory works on that processor. You are not supposed to mix dimm sizes for performance reasons, so maybe Windows is reading it as just 12GB because the memory controller is only allowing half of your new sticks to be written to. I could see this happening because of how the interleaving works, and stuff getting all screwed up when the processor tried to write data to a chip but it doesnt have a corresponding matching chip address on another stick due to one being 2GB and another being 4GB, thus it deactivates the second se6t of chips on the bigger sticks to maintain the balance between memory dimms so that the bank and channel interleaving works right. But thats just a theory.

    Also, your not supposed to mix dimm sizes. But you can get away with it if each channel has the same amount of memory. You need to check thye channel layout of your memory slots and populate them so channel A has 6GB, channel B has 6GB, and channel C has 6GB. Right now you probably have channel A with 4GB, channel B with 6GB, and channel C with 8GB. Not supposed to be like that.
