I have no first hand experience with this I never have SLI/Crossfired anything and never had any plans on it. Always had the opinion that if my single mid-range card can't run it it's time for a new mid-range card. Thought I would point this out to anybody that might be thinking of garbing a couple cheapo cards instead of one decent one though.

A new article on this? Odd. All the people emailing Tom's hardware just should have looked at the many pages around the net from 6 years ago on the matter. It seems this article went a little bit more in depth to the matter in showing an easy to read chart on what is actually happening so hopefully more people will understand it now. They failed epicly in not providing a single chart showing what the micro stuttering looks like in the benchmarks though. So we just have to go by, "I think this one felt better"
