I've been having some hard locks. Sometimes while playing games, or after coming back to the computer, after many hours of being AFK. Basically the screen locks up, I can still hear sound, then the sound stops, and the entire computer becomes unresponsive.

I'd like to swap out my memory and upgrade and was wondering what you would recommend from the list below, in the 2400 range? I currently have 2x8GB of Corsair Vengeance 1600.

i have had many different speeds and timings of ram, and have not noticed any difference in performance. my quad channel 2400mhz didnt effect my FPS in any noticable way vs the dual channel 1600mhz ram.

Having said that, get some good ram soon, DDR4 is out, and DDR3 is not being made like it used to, causing prices to rise up to meet DDR4 prices.

(p.s. i hate the look of that ram, which is why i never got it)

The price difference between DDR-1600 and DDR-2400 in 16GB quantities is only $20, so FF might as well go with the 2400 speeds just cause. it does help a few areas and brings up minimum FPS by a few frames.

    I would get these:

As they are cheaper than the GSkill and work great. I have two kits of those myself.
