  1. I need to snag a gift for my GF's brother who is a senior in college, a gamer, etc.

    Should I get him:

    1) MDK and MDK2 - Zany FPS style games from the makers Earthworm Jim

    2) Fallout and Fallout 2 - Post-Apocalyptic RPG's from Black Isle Entertainment.

  2. MDK was fun, you get to shoot shit with radioactive toast. Why are we choosing from these two again?

  3. I gotta go with the Fallouts. Among the best games ever.

  4. MDK 1 is a really awesome game, I recommend it. As great as the first two Fallouts are, the games are 2D which may not appeal to some. Also, they're DOS-based games. You need an emulator to run them.

  5. actually rubius you don't anymore...

www.gog.com Behold the savior of the games of ages past.

Even so, if you download them, you can just run in compatibility mode and it runs like a dream.

MDK is the win tbh, just a genius game, not much more to say about it really.

MDK was genius. Practically the first game with a usable "sniper rifle".

It's funny how all, but one MDK supporters posted the love, yet did not vote and all, but one Fallout supporters just voted and posted nothing. :p

It really depends on what the guy prefers to play. If he is an old *old* school RPG lover then Fallout is a natural choice. If he likes FPS games (and a rather hilarious one at that) then MDK is great.

I noticed alot of those games (except MDK 2 sadly) are on Gametap. I also noticed you pay 10$ for two games from GOG while Gametap is 10$ a month (or one cent a month if you want to cheat the system) for all of their games, which is alot.

Still, if you're looking for something for him to own rather than rent then I'd vote for Fallout.
