Monster, probably not. But not bad for the price, although I have no idea what your financial situation is.

    I mean going from a 7900GS 256mb to a 9500 GT 1GB vid card is not a monster upgrade?

yes, considering the 9000 series is just a rebranded 8000 series

Should've went with a 9800 card, but I guess 9500 should do. Still a decent upgrade.

Just don't be fooled by the "9", lol.

    !@#$!!!!

    are you serious?

I don't have that much to spend anyways. It was only like 79 bucks...

Should I keep it? Or should I send it back for a refund and try and get something better? I don't want a "side" upgrade, but I dont have that much to spend in the first place.

It's okay if you do the rebates. But like I said before, don't expect monster performance.

Well, the upgrade was mainly for WAR anyways.. According to the reviews they run at high graphics with no issues.

I am assuming it is a better improvement than my 7900gs was anyways...

    EDIT:

Well, I may be sending it back anyways, after I looked some more and talked with people, the stats on this card aren't that much better than my 7900GS.

    Sigh..

Anything below x800 in the GeForce lines is budget or mid-range. 9500 is probably low mid-range. So yeah, it's not a whole lot better than a 7900 I'd expect - an 8800 GTS would probably give you better performance for a fairly similar price.

That said, 9800 GT should be great if you can afford it.

yeah, Tommy showed me a 9800GT for 124 bucks. Which IS in my price range. So when their support comes back up on Monday, since the order has not shipped yet, I wil talk to them and see about swapping it out for the 9800GT and pay the difference.
