    also

The trial account is 14 days, if you sign up on the 16, you basically get your first two weeks of play at x2 exp. That is awesome, and sadly since I started a bit ago, I miss a few days of play : (.

If you are interested, the time to start is on the 16th. Thankfully my account will be charged with x3 + x2 exp for the 16 ready to rock to the highest level I can.

Never seriously played L2 before, having a lot of fun, I am enjoying reliving my old mmo experience before the "new age" stuff.

LOL yep, they also made some changes where you dont drop your items from a PvE death lol. I think it still happens in PvP but there a slight chance or something and its only if your a Pker or something like that. But also alot of items say wont drop if you die so lol.

ALso some of the graphics/movement will be overhauled in the update to

All servers will be down for maintenance on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 5am PDT / 7am CDT / 8am EDT / 12pm UTC/GMT. Estimated downtime is approximately 10 hours.

    With this maintenance:
    The Vesper Dreams event continues.
The European server, Naia, will be moved to the United States. Moving forward it will be in the same physical location as Chronos. The Naia server time in-game will remain European: the next Castle Siege and Territory Wars on Naia will occur this weekend (November 26 and 27) as originally planned.
All Lineage II game accounts become Truly Free.
All characters' vitality will be refilled. A vitality refill will happen with every regular weekly maintenance.

So tell me then how a F2P game meant to make money? Off good looks and love?

Mos the items in the cash shop was there before GoD and the game went F2P. The only items that was added was the Destiny packs, exp runes and VP potions. Nothing in the items shops is needed and many players dont even get anything in there. The packs is more for once you hit 85 to save you ingame money a bit like that the shots and help you lvl faster.

Lower lvls can easlily get 85 with a mentor since the buff gives them 200% exp gain and some AWSOME buffs as long the mentor onlineand the mentee gives the mentor a 10% exp gain tho but with a exp rune give 50% and everyone gets VP thats another 200% i think.

SO not sure what you saw to say no to the game since I kinda think you didnt really look into the game before saying no

People seem to rage hard that free to play games also are a business and want to make money. You see it in any free to play game out there. Especially aiming a lot of that hate at paying customers.

Depending on your point of view, a monthly subscription fee could be seen as a cash shop :)

I got 100% NO problems with cash shops when they are cosmetic. Pay for a cool armor or weapon skin, pay for an exclusive pet or mount, hell pay for extra player or inventory slots ( but dont make it where your forced to buy these slots by giving people only 10 slots in the warehouse or whatnot). I gender, skin, name, server change. Fine, its all perfect. But when you start selling the endgame gear for 5 bucks for 7day rentals or selling scrolls and potions that boost your performance and all that shit that cripple the game balance. THATs when I loose interest. I guess I should of clarified what I meant when I said cash shops. Its not fair that I can be the best player in the game and the rich asshat thats lazy is buying his way to the top and he is the "better player" only because he has the money to spend on $50 worth of cashshop items. Hell I met this one dude who spent $115 dollars a month on game items and we would go around 1-2 shoting people. Either way I see shit like that in many F2P mmo's. Fiesta, FlyFF, Rapplez , etc...

Again before posting have a look over L2 cash shop........ Since again L2 doesnt sell armor rentals or anything like this. The cash shop is not needed to play l2 at all. Its more so aim towards the casual players that dont have time to really play the game and wants to keep up with the lvling or the hard core people that want to lvl fast basically.

Again almost everything int he cash shop you can get in game....... The only thing is the hats and some of the pets since they where int eh NcStore befoer L2 went F2P

Buying levels is actually more useful to a casual player so you don't have to K-grind them.

I did look at the cash shop for L2 they sell items that boost your stats increase exp. Also sell stuff to enchant armors and weapons.

If you can get everything in the cash shops in the game just fine then I guess its better.
