Anyone looking forward to the launch of this game? The trailer looks pretty sweet. If the game is anything like the original, it won't disappoint in any way other than cost... I kinda feel like we might be paying for some extra maps and weapons. I wonder what they will change to make it worth shelling out money for...
I'm looking forward to it. kinda disappointed though because I'm pretty sure valve said they'd release some more content (levels, characters, weapons, special infected) for the original; I'm guessing l4d2 killed that.
What sucks is that everything in Left for Dead 2 was promised as download content for the first game. So instead of "completing" the first game like they were supposed to, they ask another 50$. Valve is the new EA. And as you can guess I won't be paying for it. Here's the L4D2 boycott group on steam. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/L4D2boycott
Oh please. More than any other game company, Valve always gives players of their games far more value than they ever have to. TF2 is constantly getting class updates and additions, the Orange Box was the best gaming deal of all time, they constantly offer their games and game packages for special discounts on Steam, and they refuse to release a game until it's of the best quality. The new content for LFD2 may end up in another game, but there is probably a good reason for it, and the game we get will likely offer far more than just this new content. I would like to play it before freaking out like the whiners in that community group.
nah.. I never saw the point in the first one =/ except their cinematics were pretty cool. I played it on the free weekend thing.. and the only thing I felt after playing it was "holy crap, I'm glad I didnt pay for that." D=
QFT I love the game, but I only payed for it because I thought they'd be adding more levels as DLC. Its still a great game. I love coop and vs modes. Its just way to short to justify paying $50 for. $20 maybe.
they made promises. they lied. thats a fact (unless they change their mind of L4d2). what more do you need? there is no good reason for it, unless L4D was so horribly coded that additions are impossible, and we already know that isnt the case. and their excuses are classic EA babble. yea... it was a good company, but nothing good ever lasts, alas.
I only paid 40 for the first and Ill probably get the same deal for the next so I see no problem. Plus this is the best zombie game I have ever played. And I love zombie! And I give the enough credit for TF2 updates so I dont think ill be to harsh on their charging of l4d2!
