I discovered this style of dance from searching for the song titles after watching the movie "Stomp the Yard" (Which, contrary to the imdb reviews, wasn't that bad). They call it krumping but to me, it looks like a similar variant of Breakdancing. It's very fast, very aggressive. Some say they use it as a juvenile outlet, as opposed to, y'know, murder... Or something. None of the following links are rickrolls, I assure you. My favorite Krump songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqdNNXn3iNc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGhg7OOEkVU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qDymXvjT7w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMdmQBRaeZI (Personal favorite) Actual dancing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b7a-2v3fm0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6Xd80uH55c (Skip 30 seconds) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieQM3Es46P0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfjybaamzSE (Good one) Krump Kings, considered the best Krump team out there (as far as I can gather); http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GMNbZ8B1xA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJDGi3n-8bg
pretty cool, still doesnt beat "real" break dancing =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okH_lZGPHXE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyMasVRj4KI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyMasVRj4KI&feature=related Check um out, so athletic
Yea, it is very athletic. It's very fast, not sure If i'll be able to do it but I'd like to try anyway.
How would that work I'm considering self-teaching myself to Krump. Might be a lot of move-stealing, but then again I will do it purely for family entertainment and not youtube posting, so it should be fine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2hzVV2Nwfs I believe break dancing split into b-boying and I guess "Krumping" now, big difference between them from what I see, can anyone clarify?
Krumping spends less time on the floor and is mostly with the arms and upper body. Small trend: Hats are thrown about sometimes. That's about it.
clearly you'd record your ventures in the sport and try to one-up each other, and post it in the group section.. actually, hell even post it in here as some would get a kick out of it anyway
Meh, Like I said I'd only dance for family entertainment, like at parties. LOTS of move-stealing from numerous videos. And maybe some of my own if I'm really feelin' the music.
that was amazing... i almost lost my drink reading that. Actually got out and did some real dancing last night (not packed club, bobbing around because you can't move dancing) for the first time in a long time. Always have to bring a couple girls with me to make me look good, but it's a good time.
krump and breakdancing has nothing on the smooth moves of liquid dancing. ~_^ http://youtube.com/watch?v=C3T3JywC1tw
