well he said its alot like WoW but the grapgics are alot better and they added stuff in gaem so u dont need Addons or wtf ever they are called. there alot of other stuff he couldnt try out tho that they took frm L2 and EQ and another game, adn im sorry to say but PvP is way more open then in WoW teh arena is prob where they can vers them selfs or the other race. but i think the reason they made it sim to WoW is since it has a huge sucesses but also AIOn grind is lil harder then wows and added some stuff WoW fails at
I guess my main concern is the fact that when most people decide to quit wow and look for other mmos, they tend to want something new and different. The game itself may be phenomenal, but with so many comparisons with WoW it may cause people to turn away from it. That being said, if Darkfall proves to fall short of what it promises, I will probably give this game a good looking over.
I think it looks amazing. Those movies he recorded are awesome. I for one don't mind the similarities to WoW. I'll definitely give this a look see when it gets to the US.
well NCsoft took some great ideals frm WoW tho and liek i said frm L2 and EQ but also some of the stuff where L2/EQ/WoW and some other games failed at they try to make it better in AION
Sounds good, but some things stand out as worrying: I hate AFK shops for several reasons: - If the shard population gets too large, it takes too long to browse through the shops comparing prices. - As a result of this if you get a good spot you can inflate your prices. Get a bad spot and the only people who even see your prices are those who browse the entire thing, which usually means people buying them to resell in their alts shop in one of the good spots. - If the item is reasonably rare, you have to spend a while finding another shop with it. So if you get one, you will have a hard time getting a price estimate for it. - It eats up server resources and the players bandwidth keeping people online for no purpose, since the items prices will be stored on the server (unless they want shops to lag if their owner had a bad connection). So forget about sharing your computer if you want to run a shop. - Since causing you to disconnect will free up your spot, people have an incentive to cause others to disconnect. Though the auction house should mitigate these issues if it is set up well, since I could use it instead of the AFK shops. If you want a max stat item, be prepared to keep grinding for more dust until you get lucky. Assuming there is a maximum number of upgrades.
Im really considering trying this game out. Im not a big fan of the KRPG scene, but meh, everything deserves a shot.
what you mean by grinding ? also i think liek who it does in WoW where you get kicked frm server if you stay AFK for to long but not sure if they still using this if they are not sure how long the time limit is. Also frm whats been said there only so many shops can bc place by each other i think they have to be spaced out. I think its cool how they did the afk shops, the reason is bc your chars is still interacting with other players trying to get them to brows your shop when they pass by
Lets say the max upgrade level is a weapon is 4: Base weapon Upgrade to 1 Upgrade to 2 Upgrade fail, reset to 0 Upgrade to 1 Upgrade to 2 Upgrade to 3 Upgrade fail, reset to 0 Upgrade fail Upgrade to 1 Upgrade fail, reset to 0 Repeat until you get lucky and max out the weapon. So you will have to grind to get the necessary materials for all those failed upgrade attempts. And if the upgrade limit is very high, or there is no limit, then the optimal way to upgrade an item is to have two of them: - One you use. - Another with less upgrades on it that you attempt to upgrade, so that if it fails you aren't left with a weak weapon. When you get lucky and have more upgrades on this than the one you use, swap em over. I have no clue what you are trying to say here. This isn't a chatroom, so readability is much more important in your posts than typing it out quickly. Pity that each store will be using the same scripted interaction so the novelty will wear off. Especially when you have to go past several hundred shops to find the one you want, most promising "ch3@p d3@ls" without saying what items they are selling inside.
er ok what ever, anywho in Wow you get kicked frm t eh game if you stay Afk to long. Also why should they make each shop do different things??? that would really cause more problems like with lagg that you was talking about. another thing i said was that i think what was said is that there can only be a limited amount of shops in one area or they was going to use the shops can only be so many feet frm each other With the weapon they might have items that give u higher change on a successful upgrade like they have in other games and really most items to upgrade you wouldn't have to grind much bc some the upgraded items that really good one are the ones that u get from the mobs but the ok items you can buy or make there hope that much better on your brain and make you think less
its good to have something to grind for gives you something to do imo when there is no one around to smash. PS. twi is more understandable on vent and isn't a moron so why his posts come out like that i have no idea.
First of all, I'm going to try and correct your post. Bold words were fixed with the firefox built in spell checker, italics are my best guess at fixing it. If this mechanic is included, it will screw over the shops. My point is that because the shops all do the same things, they will quickly become boring when you have to browse through any significant number. Minimum distance between shops is a good idea If I had to design an AFK shop system I would set it up so that the shops can only be placed on specific points on the ground, so that you can easily walk by them in a nice simple path, instead of having to zigzag all over the place because they are scattered. Think the difference between finding a path that goes through all points when they points are arranged on a grid compared to when the points are randomly scattered. The way I read that review, you could upgrade all the items you found or crafted, especially the really powerful ones.
well i dont use fox i use Google chrome it has the spell checker but alot of time i dont look it befor hiting submit. well with the whole kicking if afk to long you on like a 1hr time limit but i think they might have removed this frm game sicne u have afk shops
