I know it's not quite the best but for school I know it will suffice. However how well will this fare for WoW (low-medium settings) and games like Aion? I do have a primary PC which is more than fine. But the question is should I send this back and wait a week or two for a better one or just use this?

So I am pretty sure if you send it back and wait just a bit you can invest a bit more money into something a hell of a lot better. Besides, that is a single core 1.6 ghz with integrated gfx and a fsb of 667 mhz, not to mention that the ram is slow as hell as well. I would not keep that. For school use and some internet use? Somewhat decent? Wow/Aion uh uh no way.. If it does, it will be on lowest possible settings and look like shit.
Gotcha. Figured that to be the response. It should be here tomorrow, I'll just send it back and wait a week. That said, any suggestions for a 400-600 dollar budget? I'm not at all looking for a super high system. Just something that runs decent and able to handle games on low-mid quality. I really suck at looking at laptops. I should too add if need be, I can replace the graphics card and RAM if need be
Suggestion: wait until Windows 7 launches. There are a lot of sweet laptops that will be released at about the same time. While you may not be able to buy one of the nice new ones, this should cause the price of the current crop to drop a bit.

That is true, but if you want Windows 7 it is much easier to get it on a clean install. I've heard that the process of updating to Windows 7 is long and can be sketchy. Regardless, every laptop maker is coming out with new models at about the same time as Windows 7. You're better off waiting untill some of the newer model laptops come out because it will drive down the prices of the good older laptops.

I'm an intel man personally. I am looking for what I can get for a decent price. But ya, I heard AMDs ran REALLY hot. The thing is, I can go with the intel 4500 GPU and go with an intel processor or go with the AMD and get a decent GPU. Thats teh canundrum here
If you get anything AMD on a laptop, you WILL regret it down the line. I'd really hate for Intel to have a monopoly over the processor market, but AMD is just horrible.
