He survived both of the nukes dropped on Japan, and is still alive at 93. Impressive.

That's terrible man. I feel for him. It's sad he had to live through one of the most heinous crimes ever down to a country. I wonder who dropped those bombs again ? Who was the only country in history ever to use nuclear weapons and now is policing the world demanding other countries to disarm? I think it was the actually country that used them. Isn't that ironic?

    Makes sense doesn't it?

That guy better have a third arm or something for all the trouble. I can't imagine the nightmares he has.

  9. What is even more ironic is that the bombs couldn't have been built without Einstein's help, Einstein was a pacifist.

about as ironic as Dr. Richard Gatling I suppose... but it's not been used since the actual impact of such a device is now fully known. and the US isn't demanding disarmament of other countries, that would be all 189 signatories of the NPT seeking to reduce nuclear arms and prevent development by other countries. countries can't be forced to comply or sign... just encouraged via diplomatic or economic pressure

Thats so amazing to me, Im sure he has some sort of high radiation poisoning. I dont feel it was a crime though, it was war.. the japanese are tremendous fighters who gave there own lives in suicide bombers, the leaders of USA thought it would be better to bomb a country then sacrifice U.S. soldiers. I dont see a problem since the Japanese provoked us with pearl harbor, look how many were lost there.

Also, the U.S. doesn't want to bomb everyone just because they oppose our views like some countries would do, so i dont see it wrong that we ask middle eastern countries to disarm there atomic bombs. Do I think it was wrong to bomb Hiroshima, not exactly but I however think that the man featured in the article is incredible tough and has an amazing story to tell.

the bombs were dropped as a way of reducing casualties on both sides by quickly ending the war. millions on both sides would have died had a land invasion taken place

    Two things suggest otherwise:

1 - He is still alive at 93. If he had radiation poisoning, shouldn't it of killed him by now ?

2 - This post from here

I don't know enough about nukes to know if he is correct here.

The bombs were a neccesary evil at the time they lost two cities instead of us ripping apart their entire country. Besides look at how japan has prpgressed since then. With how bad we felt afterwards weve created a country economically more sound than ours with companies that have way better facilities than our own. They have a lot of new stuff where our companies see that its better for them to move out of the country then to maintain or buy new machines to produce products in the US.

lmao. The first post I've ever seen where I've wanted to punch someone in the face. I would personally like to hear one of your smart decisions.

    See you next Tuesday.

this is basically correct. though Nishua would probably say I'm not smart enough to make such a statement, i would contend my 3 years of working with ICBMs in the Air Force or my engineering degree speak better than the rantings of someone who would attack others as defense of their pacifism
Though Nishua is also incapable of making the tough decision to spell check, place a comma after understand, or use an 're for the correct usage of "you are" vs "your." Instead, he told me that I didn't know I couldn't make smart decisions instead of saying I couldn't... So I'm not even sure if he really said anything insulting to me after all. I'll take it that I don't understand that I can't make a smart decision as an indicator that I can.

Except you have yet again failed to discuss anything about a smart decision. dropping a bomb on a country you are at war with is a stupid decision from your point of view, hence a claim toward pacifism. also, the Japanese didn't drop the bomb on themselves, hence my new claim to just plain stupid beyond the inability to fail at insulting via double negatives caused by inability to type well.
