I can't decide what makes me more sad - the fact that people see no problems with posting personally identifiable info about themselves on a website for the whole world to see or the fact that people need guidance from their church in order to figure out whether they should be doing it or not.

This makes me think of the joke about trying to google or bing the phrase "facebook causes" and seeing all the bad things that pop up. Learn something new everyday.

Definitely the last part of this, its not the first. People have "no problems" with doing this even before Facebook. Folks trust too easily, or are just naive.

I am sure there is a Facebook Church. I am too lazy to search, but I am sure there is someone out there that holds their Service via Facebook.

Valhalla bound here. Personally, the whole concept is just stupid. Some people can't sneeze without the consent of the pope. Hell, another item that was recently deemed "safe" by the recent Pope John Paul was coffee. Yeah, fucking coffee.
