So as we were discussing last night it appears people with 8800 series cards are having various issues with WAR. I am going to turn up my texture cache to clear up some of texture loading issues but my models, especially npcs and pcs, are not very sharp with my 8800. On the laptop I have a 8600 and the models are very sharp and clear so I don't understand what the problem could be. I loaded all the drivers and the outlines on the models are still gritty and could look alot better.

any fixes or tips would be appreciated.

I've got the same problem. Everything looks like its' been smoothed out like alpha graphics or something instead of detailed. I'm going to try the FPS tricks posted in the Warhammer section to see if it also fixes the detail.

I've got the same problem, but I've easily fixed it by adjusting the texture memory slider in the video settings. Sliding it up or down seems to cause the buffer to clear and the new textures are stored appropriately.

This happened since the 9/26 or so patch (the one before the most recent one). I wouldn't go nuts trying to reinstall the driver or anything. Looking at the mythic support site, it's a hot alert with the above trick as a workaround (and that works for me when it intermittently occurs).

Long story short, I'm pretty darn sure it's a WAR-specific problem that they're aware of.
