Anybody know why some sites video players are forcing Firefox in to full screen mode and closing my sidebar. I noticed it a while ago on Giantbomb.com but now more sites are starting to do it, it's very annoying.

    Not sure.

I just checked giantbomb and it doesn't force my firefox into full screen mode. I'm running v25.0. Could it be an add-on? Maybe just take a hammer to it and reinstall firefox?

It's not the addons turned them both off and it still does it.

    Try updating or downgrading Firefox?
Or you can also try moving to another browser that is based on FireFox, and install your ad-ons right into that new one. Such as Comodo IceDragon

Like Chrome that browser doesn't let me have an open side bar for bookmarks which I find irritating. But the videos do work in it but they also work in Chrome so just another browser that I will occasionally copy and past something to that I can't get to work correctly in Firefox.
