So, I had to post about my latest upgrade. I got one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835209049

It was probably the best $75 bucks I've spent in a while. It dropped my temperatures by about 35% and, more importantly, it shut my computer up significantly.

Well worth the buy for its convenience of not having to mess with plumbing your own liquid cooler if all you are going to cool is the cpu.

    Just thought I would share!!

I have to be honest I clicked this thread expecting to see someone dropping a computer into a large body of water, what I found is almost as good however. Bookmarked this for a future buy thank you very much.

It seems pretty decent then? I wouldn't mind getting one of those for the holidays and chucking the rest of my fans if it did the trick.

all I know is, it worked very, very well for me. The extreme dual xeon rack case computer builders use these a lot because the radiator mounts a low speed 120mm perfectly in a tight space but cools like crazy. The long bolts will mount the whole thing to a 120mm fan mount on a rack case. In case you didnt catch my hint thus far, thats my next project! A dual xeon 4u rackmount and silent monster- for music studio use, that is. :)

The only thing is, if you listen really closely, you can hear the dull flutter of the water pump on the cpu running.

Oh, one more thing. It seems as though most of the professional computer builders like to use the corsair version. they have a few more models with some extra bell and whistles.
