So I won a video card through some email thing at work. I o to talk to the guy the get it sent to me and they don't have the card that they were going to give away. So now I get a choice between 2 cards..

Asus ENGTX275 896MB and a HIS Radeon 4890 1GB. I'm hoping that someone out there has the nvidia or ATI card. I haven't used an nvidia card in a very long time, like back when they had the riva 128 cards. Any suggestions... as reviews for the two cards are virtually the same.

tbh if you like ATI better just go with the 4890 ... they are pretty much comparable and only differences that are noticeable are the games made for nvidia or ati really

Like Erock said, they are comparable differences depending on specific games. Go look at some benchmarks for the two cards on the various games that you play. I don't have an exact link but this site has pretty good coverage.

"ATI Cards are like buses, they're big, red, and have bad drivers."

I'm trying to pick one of the two actually. lol It's down to, ATI driver isues, of which I've been lucky to not have any, and the fact that the nvidia has the cuda, physx built in. Yes they won't do anything for Aion but I'm pretty sure I'll be playing games that will support that in some way.

So I got the nvidia over the ATI.. used to always go AMD, but then got an i7, so i figured i'd get the nvidia instead of ATI, which i ussually get.. and im not regretting it, picked up red faction: guerrilla to. Damn fun game and it looks sweet.
