for Darkfall beta and are interested in trying out the game please head to THIS thread and post that your interested so you may be added to the list. This serves several functions including being able to track support for the game, let everyone know of very important updates (open beta/release) etc. I have seen a lot of "new" interest in the game and would like to get a head count. Also, feel free to check out some of the threads in there and post around as the closer we get to launch I will provide polls and the like to determine which direction everyone is interested in going including race/playstyle (pirates/mercenaries/PKers/Anti-PKers/etc)/leadership and much more. well I can say with nearly 100% accuracy that the game will not be enjoyed by everyone. It's perfectly ok if it doesn't seem appealing to you. I am one of those types that would rather try it than not as the ideas presented appeal to me. It probably wont have the best graphics out there, but do remember much of that is beta screens/footage and I will say that most beta's look like crap until release as in WAR, CoX, etc. Although, again, it probably will not revolutionize the gaming graphics market. If your interested in the game but do not like the graphical presentation or the modeling then perhaps you should look at www.mortalonline.com. This is like Darkfall but, it runs on the Unreal 3 Engine...aka...super sweet graphics unparralled by any game out or coming out anytime soon or that I have seen.

I normally don't judge a book by its cover, however there's just something about Darkfall that I really don't like >.< Mortal looks really good, but I think it's going to be a let down just like AoC was. I think the only games I'm actually looking forward to are Diablo 3 and Aion, maybe those 2 are the reason I've got such a high expectation for upcoming games
such nagativity. Thinking a game will fail and not supporting it will surely make it fail. Diablo 3 didn't sound very good to me until I watched the trailer. I am still not keen on the perspective and 2D elements of the game, but if it will have good PvP then I will probably at least try it. But, TBH it doesn't look promising for an avid PvP like myself.
Doesn't seem like Blizzard tbh, look how successful Diablo 2 was, do you think it was so successful for it's Baal runs? somehow I think not. I personally loved Diablo because of the PvP scene, it was amazing, even low level PvP had a huge scene. To now hear that Blizzard are going against what made Diablo 2, seems a bit weird tbh, but I guess it's because they're not the original team. But either way you look at it, Diablo 3 will be an amazing game, Blizzard have yet to fail at making a great game, even Lost Vikings was amazing. You also have to be careful how you interpret that statement, just as careful as they was at wording it. Could mean a few things. Btw read my post @ Darkfall beta topic
Blizzard may make good PVE games, but its still not what most would want for XoO I would imagine, being that we are a PvP guild. If Blizzard makes it into a good PvE game like WoW and offers awesome PvE then sure it will be successful, but only for that aspect. Either way, if it have good open world pvp (as I enjoy ganking/spawn camping/etc) then ill be very interested, however, as they do not seem to want anything but consentual pvp I wont be paying attention to the game until its confirmed there is world pvp.
They make amazing PvP games.. Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Diablo 2... they are all PvP games, even WoW, all of their games have been used for tournaments and competitions all over the world.
perhaps, but none of them are what I would call "real" pvp games. Starcraft is an RTS so that doesnt count. Warcraft 3 is the same. Diablo 2 was indeed a good pvp game (never played it, but ill ackowledge this one). WoW I wouldn't consider a PvP game. Sure they have competitions, but, the competitions of a game like that would be like having a basketball competition in Canada. What I am looking for in a pvp game is pure, un-adulteraded, rated R PvP. The only game coming out soon that promises to be a pvp game is darkfall. Everything else is PvE focused.
