The 500 is so badass, personally my favorite thing to shoot so far has been electrically firing the leopard II gun, blew the hat right off my head literally.

The real question is: Does it cost more than two pistols of equal craftsmanship?

This is an unholy abomination.. Anyone who has actually shot, maintained a 1911 design knows what I am talking about.

the 1911 is an all-time great from the legendary Mr. Browning because of its simplicity. Extremely detailed engineering and tedious development went into making sure this gun was simple as possible in production and operation. Its perfectly balanced when loaded. its recoil operated off of a single spring. Each other major function has a single spring that regulates its function.

This double barrel is designed with a single hammer, but has two triggers.... why? the single hammer always strikes both firing pins, so its not select fire. And i doubt it will pass muster of the NFA laws. One trigger pull = multiple bullets. thats a machine gun- by American law definition, if I recall correctly.

Also, this gun requires two recoil spring to work in concert. Thats not going to be reliable. If one compresses slightly out of sync, you'd get a failure to eject. You'd then have to rack the slide and burn a perfectly good round to clear the double feed into the other chamber that didnt clear/stovepiped/failed to eject/failed to fire.
And on that note, I bet this thing just EATS itself alive. Exact timing between the barrels is not possible. There will always be even the tiniest of delays. That would cause mechanical torque. the slide, internal parts would lean/flex/ angle slightly as the gun fired. The gun and the way its designed is not built for any of these phenomena. The slide will eat the receiver, the slide will hang on occasion- mark my words. Anyone who has dealt with a slightly off spec slide know what I am talking about.

Finally, the video claims its difficult to fire two magazines in 30 seconds. If you cant fire two 7 round magazines from a handgun with combat effectiveness (center mass) at standard yardage (10-30 yds) in 30 seconds, you need a smaller round, and you need more practice. Count it. Thats 1.5 to 2 seconds between shots- and a few seconds to strip, replace, and rack a new magazine in arguably the easiest to manipulate gun in the world. What a joke.

    Pass.
