Help with Movie editing

I need some names of good movie editing software. Not for gaming, just for publishing for my new website. I need something with decent audio crossfading abilities. And maybe a few tips on how to use it once I aquire it

Well I assume Windows Movie Maker is out of the question.

I've tried Pinnacle and it will probably do what you need it to do. I had some issues with it and wouldn't call it "good", more like "good enough". I think Adobe Premiere Pro is better, while also being more complex. I still had issues with it though.

I've always preferred to use a different audio and video program.

Of course, I assume you are on windows otherwise you probably wouldn't need to ask this question.

 

Adobe Premier would be my vote. May take a bit of getting used to but its worth it.

As far as compressing for your website i would recommend using Sorenson Squeeze. Great program that compresses faster than your programs inbuilt one.

I use Sony Vegas 7.0 to make my stuff. It's up there with Adobe premier, though I haven't used the latter so I can't compare the two.

Both would be able to get the job done.
