Brozo, Dukhat, and Waxx i need some advice on how i should build a new computer

I went to newegg.com to see some ideas for building a computer or combining parts from my old computer with new parts

and example of how stupid i am is this

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Combo...o.722603&cm_sp=DIY_PC_Combos-_-722603-_-Combo

what does that mean, how much more would i need after that to make it turn on and do stuff

and is that even good enough to play wow?

    please answer back quickly

post in the tech section if you want more people helping you ;)

Good enough for WoW? Maybe on low. You need a better graphcis card if you want to play on decent settings, and a better everything if you want to play all the latest content on max. But it would *work*
You can add this to be able to play on medium to low settings:

Just turn your shadows off, set textures to medium or high, shaders to high, model detail to medium, probably most of the other stuff on low

What else do you need to make it turn on and go? A dvd drive and an operating system disk to install Windows with

Yeah that's definitely good enough to run WoW but you'll want a video card too or it's going to be so bad you'll wish you were using two cans and a string.

That's the low profile one Enigma, BUT it will still work. Just bend the end (for once, and only once, its OK if you break it) of the card's metal case bracket so it's completely straight and it'll slide in, albeit with some uncovered space at the end.

Edit: NVM it has two brackets to choose from, but 1GB DDR3 version right here for $5 more.

Also, yes, post in the Tech section.

I have a graphics card the size of my head from my old computer, and a dvd drive from my old comp that still works...do i need a special motherboard to fit graphic card?

another question i have my old hard drive could i use that instead of getting a new HD and OS?

Yes you can do all that, but you WILL need to reinstall Windows regardless of if you use your old drive or not. Windows tends to have a lot of problems if you just stick a drive from a pretty old computer into a new one with all new hardware. Never tried it with Win7 so maybe its better now, but Id still highly recommend a complete reinstall of Windows

Thanks for finding the 1GB version Blackice. I was only looking at under $50 so I missed that the upgrade was barely a few Dollars more.
