There are 7 books, but there's going to be 8 movies. The last book is being split into 2 flicks. Good decision AFAIC considering the pace of the last film and all that had to be cut for time.

7 books, 8 films, last film is split in twain.

Problem is from the third film they went away from the spirit of the books in costume.

And book wise from the 5th one the editors went too softly softly and let so much crap through.

Personally there is about 20% too much in the books and in the films there is about 60% too much omitted.

But thats just my opinion (and I am one of the wierdos who likes the film adaptation of starship troopers (yes i have read the book as well)).

I'm going to be honest, I only watched the movies for Emma Watson.

And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone here.

    Tee hee.

It's pretty hard to make a book 2 hours long.
