Now, I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan - I read books 1-5, and stopped. Why? Well at the time the last books had not come out yet. I'm sure there's plenty of information out there on the intarwebs, including wikipedia that I could go and read about to spoil the lengthy summary of the actual book - yet I enjoy reading.

Anyway, the movie is coming out this weekend (if I read correctly) - and I more than likely go to see it because the wife likes the books. The past movies were good (whether or not I had read the books or not) - and although it might seem somewhat "kiddy" stories, I find anything related to magic, or fantasy, or what-have-you interesting.

In this case - who else might be going this weekend to watch this film? Or for some of you is it a "wait until it comes out to rent / netflix" ?

My wife and son have already seen it. They say it holds up to the book pretty well and that it was a good movie. I on the other hand didn't see it, I stayed home and watched my youngest. Beside that, without a job, I wanted to save a couple bucks.:p

don't know how its kiddy anymore its pretty gory, in fact the last 3 books was directed at a more mature audience. Because all the folks that started reading them were literally the same age as the character. hes 20 in the books at the end, I'm 19 therefor she matured the books as time went on. Remember how the first movie literally was a kids movie? The first 3 movies were PG then from 4th on it was PG-13

Hoping to catch an afternoon showing. Or go on a weekday before work when all the kiddies are in schools.
