It was Chinese New Year according to the lunisolar chinese calendar. In most asian cultures the Chinese New Year is basically a 1-2 week long celebration starting on the 28th/or two days before the 1st day of the new year and ending for most by the 7th of the lunisolar calendar. In some families and cultures they continue the celebration well into the 14th.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. And may I suggest Arcsoft stay away from the "create thread" button, lolz ;)

Personally, I'd continue to celebrate new years well into new years. :D
