I figured some people could get a laugh out of how ridiculous this guy is (not Hancock), and since the Wanted thread temporarily derailed over into the Hancock tracks I'd make a new thread. Anyhow, Hancock... great movie, wish it had more of angry drunk Hancock... but the events after that was just as cool to watch. Now for our featured presentation and review of Hancock: WARNING: this is a LOUD black man, turn the volume down. DIDDY BLOG 8! mmmm ignorant racists make the world go 'round... but can still like the movies that everyone else does!
Hancock: saw it last night (snuck into see it after Hellboy), and after reading reviews was not looking for anything special; but I thought it was a good film...considerably better than the ratings it was getting. Jason Bateman was the best character IMO. As for Sean Jean Combs: the less people that listen to that ass-hat off stage the better. why people care about so-called "stars" opinions in the slightest or give them any respect to their self created expertise (outside of their professions) in various subjects baffles me. make music, write songs, perform said music and stfu about everything else. don't even get me started on the combined retardation of Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner and Paul David Hewson; just to name a few. no i don't respect trendy name changes either. i'm cranky that way. any who...that was a tangent. did combs even watch the film? pay attention to the characters or story? and what's up with first black super hero? what? one of my fav growing up, John Stewart (Green Lantern) would beg to differ. btw since comic books are hitting the silver screen green lantern would kick ass...i don't care which one. hancock: good film..well worth seeing in the theaters!
Guillermo Del Toro delivered another stunning feat of fantasy to film. The sequel introduces more of the silliness from the comic book but doesn't loose the action adventure spiced with drama of the first film. It is definitely a large screen film so see it while it is in the theaters and enjoy the Troll Market, fight scenes and of course the Golden Army. BTW: If you have not seen it I highly recommend also seeing El Orfanato that Del Toro presented. Good stuff.
For the super hero movies I have seen this summer: The Dark Night > Iron Man > (= IMO. I really liked Hulk.) Hulk > Hellboy 2 >= Hancock. Hancock was good, but almost all the funny parts were the previews. If you can only see one make sure its Batman!
The first half of Hancock was golden....the second half was confuzzled imo. but overall this was a good year for superhero flicks...iron man, tdk, hulk, and hellboy all kicked ass
