Yeah, I'll be at GameStop tonight picking up a copy for my sons B-day. Gonna be epic since its the first release party I'm going to with my boys in tow. Not sure if I'll get father of the year for this or have social services called for having my kids out at a video game store, in freezing weather, at midnight.
My bro is getting this. I may or may not play, as I've kinda grown out of console games, unless it's a sports game. I was a huge Halo 1-3 player, though.
More of a Halo 1 fan myself. I stopped buying any Halo games after the 3 (that I played/finished ... once, same as the 2).
Just finished the campaign of Halo 4 on Heroic difficulty. Man that was a great game. 343 Industries really did an amazing job with it. I'll definitely have to beat it again on Legendary difficulty some day. I've played and beaten all of them except for Reach which, from what I understand, wasn't that good anyways. I'll have to go back and beat it though at some point.
Reach's story was already told, it was extraneous information that didn't actually matter. As for my opinion on this one I'm not sure if I like the direction they went with it. I feel like what they did made the Cheif less badass, just more of something that was manufactured to be badass. Like the stuff he did wasn't because he's awesome, it was because the forerunners made him.
That's kind of what I appreciated about Halo 4 though. It gave Master Chief more of a personality. He was definitely still a bad ass, but this game showed that he's still a human underneath all that armor. In any case, I was a fan. I look forward to the rest of this trilogy.
Gave this game a second shot, and I can say it's the best looking, best playing Halo game to date. Crazy thing is, it's not even made by Bungie. I played a few online matches and dominated.
