The Guild Wars PvE event that took place on October 28, 2011 was the most successful ever! The highlight was when the team comprised entirely of XoO members (and 2 NPCs) came together to do an elite mission called "Urgoz's Warren", where players have to contend with hordes of powerful enemies and crippling environmental effects. We did not coordinate our builds, but with the experience of our players and some stunning leadership on my part*, we cleared it in 51 minutes rather than the estimated 2 to 3 hours. Another highlight was our brave venture into the second installment of Winds Of Change, the super-difficult patch content that is meant to link Guild Wars 1 with Guild Wars 2 (a guild first!).
All I have to say is, the bottom screenshot says it all. I play Aion the same way I've always played Guildwars. Wading deep into the mobs with reckless abandon. <.< Annoys people in Aion when I chase down some poor asmo who gets cold feet about fighting us in dredge. <.< It's not a new habit, it's a very very old habit.
Knowledge IS power. Also, I have come to appreciate an Assassin/Dervish combo. I think Rune and I really rip it up well together. It's like mixing a chainsaw with a boomstick. Hail to the king, baby. PS: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the prot that enabled our wanton destruction, so there you go...although a good chunk of it came from our chained SY!
Let me guess, I'm the chainsaw? You makin' fun of the fact that I'm a texan, huh huh!? <.< Kidding. <.< I found the part with the 0 energy regen interesting, for 3 reasons. 1. I had radiant scythe (+5 energy every time I use it), was spamming it since it tended to recharge as soon as I used it since I was almost ALWAYS Hitting 3 targets on that bridge. 2. Spamming Twin Moon Sweep + Mystic Vigor + Grenth's Aura every time Rending Aura is off CD = lol, 400 HP spike recovery. 3. That's the only time I've every just rushed through it, instead of just pulling stuff and avoiding the energy denial. >.> And assassin's always work well with me, simply cause I never care about backlining, I just wreck everything else's backline. <.< Which sins are good at too. Leave protecting the casters to the warriors. >.>
I seriously need to get my shit together and play some GW1 SOON! Installed it, but keep forgetting about it *sigh*
I don't think the bottom screen shot really does things justice. I think there are less than 25% of the total enemies still standing in that one. There were a LOT of enemies!
...but...but Heal Party has such great synergy with Rebirth! ...and there's both Infuse and Sig of Devotion so you can heal fast OR slow! You can choose!
That was a great run, it's a nasty place full of devastating mobs that broke over us like waves over rocks.
Ehhhhhh. . . the Deep is a hella harder nutshell to crack. >.> The challenge would be welcome though. Get some solid people together, it will be easy.
There is one reason, and one reason alone I don't like it. I has bad memories of AOE killing to many mobs at the same time. . . all the melee went splat from eating about 20 death novas in HM all AT THE SAME EXACT TIME. <.< QQ man, QQ
